As research and action for
sustainable development have gathered steam over the past two
decades, the question of how to incorporate sustainability concepts
into education frameworks has taken on increasing urgency. The AGS
continues to review its own educational goals and expectations in
light of current information on global discussions on sustainability
education in order to ensure its full participation and leadership
in this area.
The following reports illustrate current
initiatives in education for sustainability at the university level,
and potential roles for the AGS within these initiatives.
