The AGS is a confederation of four
partner institutes - leading technical universities around the
world. Together the four partner institutes focus on strong research
alliances with industrial and government partners and seek to expand
education activities in sustainable development.
Each partner
school has a strong local program - an AGS Focus Center (AFC) -
which ensures participation of faculty and staff in AGS-supported
research initiatives. The AFCs are autonomous, creating networks
with other universities and building support through a local
Advisory Board.
The AGS
Executive Board (EB) has overall operational responsibility for
managing central AGS activities. Membership consists of one faculty
representative from each of the AGS Focus Centers as well as the AGS
Executive Director. The EB chairman reports to the AGS Governing
Board (AGB),
which is made up of the university presidents and the chairman of
the International Advisory Board (IAB). |
